About me

Hello, I'm Sanchita.

I left India in the spring of 1997 and have spent almost three decades building a life in America. Home these days is Seattle, with its evergreens and its rain. I'm a wife, a mother, and at 53 I live with one foot in each of my two worlds. This space is where they meet. Ayurveda sits next to K-beauty here. Yoga and meditation sit next to everyday American life. Old Bollywood songs play over Pacific Northwest mornings.

I'll be honest with you, I'm not here as an expert who has it all figured out. I'm in the thick of it myself. Menopause, midlife skin, thinning hair, a body I'm learning to care for with patience instead of pressure. What I can offer is company. Honest routines, gentle Ayurvedic wisdom I grew up with, a little poetry, a lot of tea, and the quiet belief that a woman can become more herself at 53 than she ever was at 30.

No filters. No pressure. Just real life, one mindful sip at a time.

A little poetry

She wasn't starting over.
She was finally arriving.
Thirty years, two worlds,
one woman, still becoming.

Verses I love and a few of my own. Some feelings need a poem, not a paragraph.
